Did you know…

…that the PolyScope 42 cm catheter can also be used by interventional radiologists to treat common bile duct stones or to take biopsy forceps tissue samples? Application under direct visualization, in a percutaneous access through a small 10F access sheath, in order to increase sensitivity and specificity while detecting suspicious malignancies.

The pictures below show a case of three stones in the common bile ducts treated by using the 42 cm polyscope catether together with a Lumenis Holmium laser. The case has been sucessfully performed at the IST Hospital in Milano by our valued Dr. Monica Salvetti and includes LED based illumination, compact camera and documenation module.
